Our Project:
This year's topic for FLL (First Lego League) is transportation. For our project, we are focusing on the Bend Bus Station. We think that they should have more information in their yellow pages ad, a more efficient schedule, and a website (to see what we think their website should look like, click here). We wrote a skit about this (to read it, click here). We interviewed people on the street, visited the Bend Bus Station (where we found so many problems that we decided to keep it as our topic), and visited the School Bus Barn (our previous idea). We also had a day where we cut out stencils and spray-painted them onto our yellow polo shirts.

CateMy name is Cate and I'm 13 years old. I've been in Lego League for 4 years, but I've only been on this team for 1 year. I like to read, listen to music, and play soccer. My hobby is photography. I've been in Girl Scouts for nearly 10 years. My favorite animal is the horse. My favorite color is blue. When I grow up, I want to be a vetrinarian or a teacher. I live with my parents, and my 9-year-old brother, Jason. My favorite part of Lego Robotics is being part of the skit.
We were one of the runners up at regional and we made it to state! We are one of 7 out of 17 teams in our regional competition that get to go to state. We are changing some things (our robot has tracks instead of wheels) and we could get up to 320 out of 400 points (I think).
